MyChart Bedside uses your hospital’s medical record system to securely show you information, so check with your care team to see if the system supports it.

Access MyChart Bedside in two ways:

• Bedside in MyChart Mobile: use the MyChart app to access many Bedside features from your personal iOS or Android mobile device.
• Bedside for tablet: give yourself the complete Bedside experience on an iOS or Android tablet, including features for contributing documentation and communicating with the care team. This application requires a hospital-provided or personal tablet.

In both Bedside for tablet and Bedside in MyChart Mobile, you can see:

• The treatment team with bios and role descriptions for each person.

Patients and their proxies can access MyChart Bedside information from their MyBCH app on their personal device. If you do not have a personal smartphone or tablet, a hospital-issued iPad will be assigned to you during your stay.

Most results will be viewable the same day they are taken. There are also tests that may take days or weeks before we have results. Please talk to your nurse if you have questions or concerns.

Where do you charge a bedside tablet?

You will get a charging cable from your Unit Coordinator which can be used to charge the Bedside tablet via the electrical outlets behind your bed. If you did not get a charging cable, please ask your Unit Coordinator for one.
