FAQ

What is MyChart and how can I use it?

If you’ve been seen at more than one healthcare organization you likely have multiple health records. MyChart lets you pull all of your medical records together and view them in one place. This will enable patient families from our NICU at UConn Health Center to connect their account with their Connecticut Children’s account.

How will I be notified of new medical information in MyChart?

Notification messages regarding information in MyChart may be sent to your e-mail address. Any person with access to your e-mail account will be able to see this notification. Although no medical information will be sent, notification that new medical information is available on your MyChart account will be sent.

How do I Activate my Connecticut children’s MyChart account?

Connecticut Children’s recommends that you sign up for a MyChart account when you schedule or check in for your next appointment. Activate over the phone when you schedule your next appointment. You will be sent an email to activate your MyChart account. Activate at the front desk when you check in for your appointment.

Proxy Access – A “proxy” is a person you allow to look at your MyChart information. A “proxy” may also be a person who has the legal right to look at your medical information. If you have granted access to a Proxy and you no longer want the Proxy to be able to access your MyChart account, you can revoke proxy access directly in MyChart. CMC reserves the right to revoke access to a patient’s MyChart account at any time for any reason.

How long does it take to respond to a CMC email?

In some cases, CMC staff may not be immediately available, so you should allow at least two (2) business days for a response. If you require a quicker response, please call your health care provider. Matters requiring immediate attention should not be submitted through MyChart.

How to opt out of CMC newsletter?

You can opt out from these messages by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in the bottom of the newsletter or by adjusting your communication subscription preferences in MyChart.
