Is MyChart required to receive health care from Lexington Medical Center?

The use of MyChart is completely voluntary and is not required to receive health care from Lexington Medical Center. I. Eligibility Individuals must be age 16 or older to request a personal MyChart Account.

MyChart constitutes neither the practice of any medical, nursing, or other health profession nor the practice of health care or any other professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Is Lexington Medical Center’s medical information confidential?

Lexington Medical Center will afford the same degree of confidentiality to medical information stored on MyChart as is given to medical information stored by Lexington Medical Center in any other way. Lexington Medical Center is committed to protecting the confidentiality of your medical information.

What happens if I send a message through MyChart?

All electronic messages you send through MyChart will become part of your Lexington Medical Center medical record and may be used or disclosed as provided in this Agreement and the Notice of Privacy Practices.

You can exchange messages with your providers and read doctor’s notes from recent visits. Keep messages short and to the point. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

As a MyChart user, your role in maintaining the security of your medical information is: 1) Changing your password on a regular basis, and 2) Keeping your login ID and password confidential.

How long does a proxy account last in LMC?

For access to the LMC MyChart Account of an adult patient or a minor patient ages 16-17, the patient and the proposed proxy complete the “Proxy for Adult Application.” Proxy access to an adult patient’s MyChart Account will automatically terminate three years after establishing proxy access.
