What is MyChart?

Valley Health and Inova Health System have formed an alliance to bring you MyChart, a shared electronic database and record. Whether you receive your patient care through a Valley Health or an Inova Health System provider, you will have access to your healthcare information through this one, secure patient portal.

How do I Activate my MyChart account?

The staff will assist you in signing up for a MyChart account during your visit at one of our locations. Click on the Activate Your Account button above. Use the activation code that can be found on your enrollment letter, bill or the last page of your visit summary. Follow the instructions to activate your account.

How old do I have to be to sign up for MyChart?

You must be at least 14 years old to sign up for MyChart. Patient parents/guardians can request full proxy access for a child between the ages of 0-13 years old. Parents/Guardians of patients 14-17 will have limited access to the patient’s MyChart account.

What is my chart?

MyChart is a free service offered by participating Inova medical facilities and doctors’ offices that offers patients personalized and secure on-line access to portions of their medical records. It enables you to securely use the Internet to help manage your care and receive information about your health.

What is an evisit?

A fast and easy way to communicate with your provider online. E-Visits are a secure way to connect with your provider, for certain non-emergency conditions, to discuss your health issues and receive an online diagnosis and treatment plan in the same or next business day.

Is MyChart free for iPhone?

The free MyChart mobile application is available for iPhone and Android devices.

Can you add videos to your watch history?

Videos you watch may be added to the TV’s watch history and influence TV recommendations. To avoid this, cancel and sign in to YouTube on your computer.

How many characters are in a MyChart ID?

Your MyChart ID must be between five and nine characters, but cannot include symbols. If you forget your MyChart ID please call the MyChart Support Line at 1-855-694-6682. Your MyChart password must be a minimum of seven characters and must contain at least one number and one letter. Your password cannot include symbols.
