Is parkland and dchhs responsible for errors in the MyChart service?
I agree that the Providers, including but not limited to Parkland and DCHHS, have no responsibility in connection with errors in the MyChart service or any inaccuracies, errors or outages caused by communication lines, the Internet or any other service or device that I use to access the MyChart service.
How do I open a MyChart account?
In order to open a MyChart Account, each user must comply with the Program’s and Providers’ then-current policies. In any event, I understand that my enrollment is contingent on verification of my identity either in person by a Program or Provider employee.
How long does it take for MyChart to respond?
The MyChart system should never be used for urgent matters. The anticipated turnaround time for response to electronic messages is 1 to 2 business days , but could be longer. Also, you should not assume that your provider is aware of any changes in your health, even if you submitted e-mails or updates through the MyChart system. Accordingly, PLEASE CALL 911 OR YOUR PHYSICIAN, AND/OR GO TO THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT OF A LOCAL HOSPITAL, IF YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE EXPERIENCING A MEDICAL EMERGENCY OR ANY OTHER HEALTH CHANGES THAT ARE PROBLEMATIC FOR YOU.
Does Parkland own MyChart?
I acknowledge and agree that Parkland and its licensors own all proprietary rights to the MyChart service and all technology related thereto. I agree not to copy, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display or perform, republish, transmit, distribute or reverse engineer any of Parkland’s or its licensors’ proprietary material. Except for my permitted use hereunder, I acknowledge that I have no right, title or license to any of Parkland’s or its licensors’ intellectual property.

Worley says MyChart saves time at the actual appointment as well. “I can pre-verify my health history and even pay my co-pay ahead of time,” she says. “But after the appointment, I can refill my prescription quickly and easily too. There are so many benefits to using this tool!”
